Wow … manchmal aendert sich alles innerhalb von nur einer halben Stunde. Bis vor kurzem hatte ich nur einen Job (Rudolf) und wusste nicht, was ich vom 9 – 25 April machen sollte. Raus aus Toronto – so viel stand fest, doch dann zwei Wochen irgendwo auf dem Land herumsitzen und einfach nur Zeit totschlagen bis ich zu Rudolf kann? Jetzt habe ich drei Jobs (!!!) und der Plan sieht folgendermassen aus:

Job #1) vom  9 – 24 April 2010: Niagara-on-the-lake http://www.bbcanada.com/9624.html Ehrlich gesagt weiss ich noch nicht, wobei hier Hilfe gebarucht wird. Ein Besuch auf dem Recyclinghof in Waldbach hat mir kurz vor meiner Abreise diese Adresse „eingebracht“ (Danke an Manfred und Thomas Rehn aus Siebeneich!). Und jetzt, wo ich in der Naehe bin, habe ich dort einfach mal angerufen und die waren gleicht super nett! Sie haben Platz genug, Arbeit gibt es auch immer genug, ich soll vorbei kommen, gar kein Problem … genial – oder? Einfach noch mal kurz durch klingeln wenn ich weiss wann der Bus dort haelt und dann holt man mich an der Bushaltestelle ab …

Job #2) vom 25 April bis 16 Mai 2010: Pretty River Valley In / Rudolf bzw. Frodo kennt ihr schon alle und ich kann es kaum erwarten dort hin zu kommen!

Job #3) irgendwann ab Mai 2010, bei Noreen D. hoch oben im Norden in Val Gagne (verdammt nah an den Eisbaeren). Ich soll mich einfach melden wenn mein Reiseplan feststeht und ich kann kommen wann immer ich will, denn Hilfe koennen die immer gebrauchen. Beim Saeen, Ernten, Bauen, Fuettern, Pflanzen, Streichen, was auch immer … Auch Noreen war am Telefon super nett und super unkompliziert! Sie freut sich darauf mich kennen zu lernen, wann auch immer ich kommen will bin ich Willkommen. Einfach nochmal vorher kurz anrufen, damit sie auch etwas vegetarisches im Kuehlschrank hat … unglaublich…

Sprich: Ich bin ausgebucht bis mindestens Ende Mai. Und bei allen drei Farms habe ich ein super gutes Bauchgefuehl :o) Meine Kamera ist zwar weg, aber sich darueber noch aufzuregen bringt gar nichts. Deshalb freue ich mich lieber auf die drei wahnsinns Jobs :o) Die hoffentlich auch so wahnsinn werden wie es sich jetzt im Moment anfuehlt  :o))))))))00

Wow … sometimes things change within only a few minutes. Until this morning I had one job (Rudolf) and no idea what to do from 9 – 25 of April. Leaving Toronto was set – but then spending 2 weeks somewhere in nowhere just to kill time till I can start working on the reindeer farm? Now I have 3 jobs (!!!) and schedule looks like follows:

Job #1) April 9 – 24: Niagara-on-the-lake http://www.bbcanada.com/9624.html Honestly I have no idea what kind of help they can need. I got the address more by coincidence right before I left Germany(Thank you Manfred and Thomas Rehn!). Now, cause I am close to that place, I just called and the people where friendly and helpfull right away! They have a lot of space, lots to do, I can stop over, no problem at all … awesome – right? I just have to call when I know when the Greyhound will stop – then someone will come to pick me up at the bus stop …

Job #2) April 25 – May 16: Pretty River Valley In / you all know Rudolph aka Frodo already and I can not wait to get there …

Job #3) some when in May: High up in the North, a place called Val Gagne, for a lady named Noreen (very close to the polarbears). I just have to call when I know my travel schedule and I am welcome whenever I will come. Help is needed all year through, harvesting, seeding, feeding, building, painting, whatever … Also Noreen was so nice on the phone! She looks forward for my visit and I just have to call when I want to visit – to make sure that there is something vegetarian in her fridge … unbelieveable…

So I am booked out till end of March. My feeling is pretty good with all three farms. And even if my cam is gone it makes no sence to be still upset about it – I better look forward to my next 3 jobs :o) I hope it will get as awesome as it feels right now :o)

Ihr fragt euch vielleicht, warum ploetzlich so viele Bilder online sind… Nein – ich und die Asia-Tante aus dem Internet-Cafe sind nun nicht beste Freundinnen. Mich hat die ganze Bilder Upload Geschichte so genervt, dass ich gestern zu futurebuy gegangen bin und mir einfach einen Laptop gekauft habe :o) Nice – er ist wunderhuebsch, handlich, schnell und Bilder hochladen macht ploetzlich Spass.

Das waren die guten Nachrichten – jetzt zu den schlechten. Ich kann keine neuen Bilder hochladen, weil ich keine Bilder machen kann, weil man mir irgendwann zwischen gestern Abend 17 Uhr und heute morgen 10 Uhr die komplette Kamertasche aus dem Zimmer geklaut hat! Mit meiner nagelneuen Canon EOS 500D, zwei Objektiven, Fernausloeser, Polfilter, Memory Safe mit 2 SD Karten, … ALLES WEG! Und ins Zimmer kommt man nur mit einer Schluesselkarte …. Klasse – ich war die ganze Zeit im Hostel und die Tasche stand unter meinem Bett – also wurde sie entweder geklaut waehrend ich eine rauchen war, oder waehrend ich schlief … Super! Bei 24 Grad und strahlend blauem Himmel habe ich den Tag mit der Polizei und dem Ausfuellen von Formularen verbracht … Ich kann nur hoffen, dass sich die Premium Versicherung auszahlt und ich nicht ewig lange mit der Versicherung rummachen muss ….Wie auch immer: Dienstag kann ich jetzt gleich mal los und mir ne Kamera kaufen – immerhin habe ich jetzt einen Laptop um Bilder hoch zu laden …ausserdem geht es naechsten Freitag hoch in den Norden – verdammt hoch – wie und warum folgt ….

You maybe wonder why there are so many pics online now? Nope – me and the Asian-Lady from the Internet-Cafe did not get best friends. In fact the picture upload situation sucked that much, that I went to futurebuy yesterday and bought a laptop. :o) Nice – it is beautiful, handy, fast and now it is fun to upload pictures!

So far the good news – now to the bad part. I can’t upload new pics, cause I can’t take new pics, cause somewhen between yesterday 5pm and tomorrow morning 10 am someone has stolen my whole camerabag right out of my room …. with my brandnew Canon EOS 500D, two lenses, distance remote, filter, SD cards … ALL GONE! You can enter the room only with a keycard  … and I was in the hostel the whole evening. So it happend either when I was downstairs or while I slept … Great! 24 Degrees and clear blue sky and I spent my day with the police and filling out stupid blanks … I can only hope that my premium insurance will pay out without starting a drama.  Anyway I will buy a new camera on Tuesday (public holidays suck) I need a camera to take pictures – to upload them with my new laptop … besides I will head up North next Friday – damn far North – why and where to exactly will follow soon …
